Somatic Intimacy, Relationship and Sex Coach
Pelvic Floor and Bodywork for Women, Melbourne
If you're a woman or queer person navigating pelvic pain, feeling disconnected from your body, or facing intimacy or relationships that aren't working, this is for you. This work isn't only about fixing what hurts. It's just as much about your capacity for joy, pleasure, and a freer, fuller life. The work is somatic and trauma informed: body based, not just talk.
You don't need to know exactly what's wrong, or have the right words for it yet. The body often holds what the mind doesn't feel safe enough to process, and trauma can live there long after the event itself has passed. We work with your nervous system, not against it, at a pace that lets you stay present instead of overwhelmed. The aim is to help you feel at home in yourself again: to know your boundaries, find your voice, and reconnect with what your body actually wants.
Whatever brought you here, the first step is a free 20–30 minute conversation. It's as much for you as it is for me. You can ask anything you're curious about: how I work, what a session looks like, whether this feels right for you. I get a sense of what's brought you here, and whether I'm the right person to support you. If it feels like a good match, we book something in
What brings you here?
Pelvic Floor Bodywork
So many women come here years into living with pelvic pain, numbness, or a body that doesn't feel like theirs anymore, after being told by every doctor they've seen that everything looks normal. It's common, unfortunately, but it doesn't need to be that way.
I work with vaginismus, vulvodynia, vestibulitis, nerve pain and numbness, pain during sex, prolapse, scar tissue from birth tears or episiotomy, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, fibromyalgia, and the after-effects of birth trauma, amongst other issues. I also work with survivors of sexual violence. Whatever brought you here, whether it has a name yet or not, this is a space to be taken seriously.
“I am a mother of two with a history of prolapse, episiotomy and a lot of birth trauma. This was the first time I had received bodywork that acknowledged and addressed my birth trauma.”
Sessions run 2 to 2.5 hours. We begin with nervous system regulating work before moving into focused pelvic floor work, if your body is ready for it. Internal and external work happens within your consent, at your pace. The last 20 minutes are set aside for integration, time to rest, get dressed, and talk through what came up. You don't need a diagnosis to start. We work with what's actually happening in your body, not just what's on a chart.
Tantric Bodywork
Maybe you feel cut off from your own body. Sex and touch happen, but you're not really there for it, watching from somewhere outside yourself. For me, connection always starts from the inside. Feeling your own sensations and pleasure is the foundation for connecting with anyone else, and tantric bodywork (similar to tantric massage, yoni massage or yoni mapping) is one of the most direct ways back into that, into your body, and into a pleasure that's yours to reclaim.
What it can do is reconnect you with your body's capacity for sensation, pleasure and aliveness, often after they’ve been quieted by trauma, stress, pain or disconnection. That's not a sexual outcome. It's a healing one. The last 20 minutes are set aside for integration: time to rest, get dressed, and talk through what came up.
“I came to Ami looking for healing in terms of increasing my sexual confidence and libido… this time I could feel a larger part of my body awakening.”
Sessions run 2.5 to 3 hours, using slow, connected touch to help you feel and listen to your body, become more grounded, and reconnect with sensation. We always begin clothed, and the work moves at your pace and within your consent throughout. Your pleasure is treated as something sacred here, never rushed, never performed, simply yours. Yoni massage is offered as part of the session, not as the goal. It's one way of helping that sexual energy move more freely through your whole body, not only your genitals.
This is therapeutic bodywork. I remain clothed throughout. The focus stays entirely on you, and there's no mutual touch involved. It's simply a different kind of session than people sometimes expect, so you know exactly what you're stepping into, and feel safe enough to find your own voice and boundaries inside it.
Somatic Sex, Dating and Intimacy Coaching
You might be trying to find the one, or you might be back out on the dating scene after years away with all the apps, and it feels hopeless. You might be deep into a relationship that's turned into two people raising kids together, where low libido, a mismatched libido, or even a sexless relationship has become the painful unspoken thing between you. Or you might have passionate desire in your life and want more pleasure, exploration and joy. Wherever you're starting from, this is sex and intimacy coaching for you as an individual woman, grounded in vulnerability, mindfulness and compassion, building a deeper relationship with yourself, not only with a partner.
We work somatically together, through your body and nervous system, not just talking. Sessions combine conversation with embodied practice to explore what's actually in the way of the dating life, relationship or sex life you want. That can mean working through body image, dating fatigue and finding your voice with someone new. It can mean naming what's gone quiet between you and a partner and finding your way back together. It can mean exploring attachment patterns and what shapes the way you connect. It can also mean you already have a good relationship and want to dive deeper than fine and good enough, into more closeness, adventure and pleasure.
This is also a space to get curious. We can talk through kink, ethical non-monogamy, open relationships, or different kinds of events you've wondered about, as something to discuss and understand for yourself, never something I arrange or take you to. Your desire and libido aren't problems to solve here. They're something to get curious about and enjoy.
Still figuring out what you need?
That's completely fine. A lot of people who reach out don't have a clear label for what's going on, they just know something needs to change. You don't need to know which category you fit into before you talk to me.
I always start with a free 20–30 minute consultation before taking on a new client. This is as much for you as it is for me. You get to ask anything you're curious about: how I work, what a session looks like, whether this feels right for you. I get a sense of what's brought you here, and whether I'm the right person to support you, or whether someone in my network might be a better fit. If it feels like a good match for both of us, we book something in.
